We want to update our community on the status of Merlin’s previously anticipated acquisition of EpiSci. The combination of Merlin and EpiSci’s teams and capabilities initially seemed to have the potential to enhance our position in the autonomous aviation industry. At this time, we can confirm that Merlin is not moving forward with the acquisition.
Merlin remains deeply committed to advancing safe and effective autonomous flight technology. This includes focusing on our core technology and taking the steps needed to develop an end-to-end autonomy solution for our customers, including the development and integration of tactical capabilities. This type of solution is what our customers – including the DoD – have expressed an immense need for, and to meet that demand, we’ll soon be announcing Merlin’s next phase of growth.
We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of our team and partners through this process, and we’re excited to continue driving autonomous capabilities forward for our civilian and military customers.
